Just spent an incredible day at Higashiyama Zoo with my two new coworkers! It was scorching hot, but that didn’t stop us from exploring everything the zoo had to offer. We saw so many amazing animals, from majestic lions to playful monkeys and even some exotic birds. The heat made it a bit of a challenge, but we powered through, bonding over our shared love of wildlife and the occasional ice cream break.
Spirit Animal
Lion
We had the incredible opportunity to meet a majestic lion, sponsored by our company. This sponsorship isn’t just about supporting wildlife; I believe it’s also deeply connected to our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By contributing to the preservation of endangered species and their habitats I think Dandelions is trying promoting biodiversity and ensuring that future generations can experience the wonders of nature. From my experience this involvement reflects the dedication to responsible business practices and environmental stewardship.
On top of the world
The highlight had to be the breathtaking view from the Higashiyama Sky Tower. You could see the whole city stretched out before us—truly stunning! It was a perfect moment to relax and appreciate the day.
Thoughts
Spending time together outside of work really helped us strengthen our relationships and build team spirit. I’m so glad we had this experience—it’s days like this that make you realize how important it is to connect with the people you work with. Spending the day together helped us bond in a way that only shared experiences can. We laughed, learned more about each other, and left feeling like a stronger team. It’s amazing how a fun day out can boost team spirit and strengthen relationships. Looking forward to more adventures together!
Hi! This is ‘ HelloHa ‘! Today I would like to talk about a trip I took to Higashiyama Zoo with my fellow new employees.
Today we went to The HigashiYama Zoo, Yayyy!!
We gathered at the zoo’s main gate at 10:00 a.m., looking forward to today’s adventure. Our first stop was the rhino exhibit area. Surprise and excitement mixed together as soon as we saw the giant rhinos cooling off in the water. The rhinoceros was soaking in the water and closing its eyes, as if it were enjoying a moment of bliss. Just watching them made us feel relaxed.
Next, we went to the otter area. The otters were really energetic, spinning around in the water and playing with each other. Their lively movements naturally brought smiles to everyone’s faces. The sight of the otters bouncing around was so innocent that it made our hearts skip a beat just to watch them.
When we moved to the seal area, we were greeted by graceful swimming seals. They looked at us with their curious eyes as they peeked out of the water. Their adorable appearance made us shout “Cute! I couldn’t help but exclaim, “They are so cute! The graceful swimming of the seals was a moment that soothed my heart.
Next, we headed to the lion exhibit, where majestic lions were making their presence known. Their majestic appearance was breathtaking, and I naturally stood taller as I stood in front of the lions. We all took pictures in front of the (Dande) Lions.
We also looked around at other animals such as gorillas, flamingos, and black leopards. All the animals are so unique that you never get tired of looking at them. In particular, the serious expression on the gorilla’s face and the flamboyant appearance of the flamingos are worth seeing.
And when I climbed up the tower, the view was mind-blowing. The view from the tower was just spectacular, and the city of Nagoya was spread out. I think Nagoya, which I just moved to, is really beautiful. I am sure the night view of Nagoya will also be colorful and fascinating.
After finishing our visit to the zoo, we stopped by a souvenir store. The store was filled with animal-themed goods, all of which were cute and fun to choose from. I got a stuffed rabbit! We each found an item that we liked, and it was a heart-warming moment.
Finally, as I look back at the many pictures I took throughout the zoo, I realize that today’s adventure was truly amazing. Although it was a hot day, it made our interaction with the animals even more enjoyable and gave us many memorable experiences. We left the zoo with smiles on everyone’s faces and a great feeling that today’s adventure had been a wonderful one.
Hello. Today, I will introduce the contents of the grooming training that was held the other day. Hachi and Pyu will be in charge. In this training, after two hours of lectures, you can actually have a suit made! It was a surprising content! The lecturer for this training was Ms. Moriuchi of Brilliant Impression.
About business style
During the lectures, the word “mottainai” (wasteful) by Mr. Moriuchi, an image consultant who was the lecturer, made an impression on me. He said that it is “mottainai” to lower your evaluation because of your appearance even if you are good at your job. I have never been very interested in fashion, but I was reminded that I was doing something “mottainai”.
Also, in the image of job hunting, I thought that a suit with a collared shirt was the formal attire, but I was very surprised to hear that it is different for women. I have always worn collared shirts, so I may need to change my clothes completely.
Dress code rules in the Japanese workplace
The training with Mr. Moriuchi before choosing my outfit was very fulfilling. I was able to learn what clothes are acceptable as “office casual”. There are many rules regarding clothing in Japan, and some rules are different from overseas. For example, not only the length of skirts and dresses, but also the color of hair is regulated. Although these rules may seem a little strict, I think it’s a good thing that we can avoid discrimination in the workplace based on physique and style.
Making a custom-made suit
After that, we moved to the store and finally ordered the suit. It was my first time ordering a custom-made suit, and even looking at the fabric sample, it was difficult to imagine the finished product, and the finished suit was a lighter color than I expected.
Thoughts on the finished suit
Hachi’s thoughts: Moriuchi gave me advice on colors and shapes that would suit me, so I chose the recommended design. The suit has a bright and refreshing finish, and the fabric is sturdy, so it looks neat. I was able to discover a different side of myself from my usual self, and I’m really glad I chose the recommended design!
Pyu’s thoughts: Moriuchi’s advice was very valuable, and I realized how difficult it is to choose an outfit. I don’t usually wear suits, so it was difficult to choose because there were so many options for materials, colors, patterns, and shapes. However, the staff at KASHIYAMA Nagoya Sakae store gave me very detailed advice. That advice was very helpful as it made it easier for me to choose the fabric, color, and style of my outfit.
This training allowed me to gain proper knowledge about business attire and to realize the importance of first impressions and how I present myself when working. It was also a valuable opportunity to receive objective advice on suits and clothing that suit me. I will continue to work hard with my new suit!
Thank you for reading! I’m 237 from the Business Management Department, in charge of this blog post. As a free introduction, I’d like to talk about the “Sleep Lecture” that was held on March 22nd.
Contents of the sleep course
① Sense of smell
Our sense of smell is directly transmitted to the part of the brain that is called instinct, so we can feel scents even while we are sleeping. The instructor recommended that we smell “essential oils” that have a relaxing effect to improve the quality of our sleep.
There are many scents of essential oils, so you can choose the scent that suits your symptoms. For example, you can choose the scent of rosemary for a migraine, or lavender or citrus scents for a calming effect, so you can choose the scent that suits you at that time. It is also recommended to close your eyes and choose a scent that makes it easy to take a deep breath.
Where can I buy essential oils? As for the question, you can find them on the Internet, and MUJI, a familiar place, has a wide selection of high-quality, inexpensive essential oils.
② Vision
Watching TV or using your smartphone before going to sleep affects your sleep. Especially recently, people tend to watch short videos such as TikTok and Instagram for long periods of time. As a countermeasure, it is important to avoid using your smartphone first, but you can get a good quality sleep without stressing your eyes and brain by watching videos with existing content or lowering the brightness and moving away from the screen.
Also, falling asleep immediately after getting into bed is evidence of lack of sleep, so it is best to take 15 minutes to fall asleep. If you cannot fall asleep even after 15 minutes, one improvement measure is to get out of bed once.
③ Taste
You should also be careful about what you eat and drink before going to sleep.
I have heard that coffee before going to bed is not good, but the caffeine contained in coffee and tea lasts for about 6 hours, so you can get a good night’s sleep by avoiding drinking it at least after 6 p.m.
It is also important to finish eating at least 3 hours before going to sleep. The reason is that if you eat immediately after eating or eat too much, it takes time to digest and absorb, and the sympathetic nervous system becomes active. As a countermeasure, it is important to wait some time after eating before sleeping or to eat less.
Alcohol can help you fall asleep, but it can also lead to shallow sleep, cause your tongue to drop and make you more likely to snore, and in the worst cases, cause breathing to stop, so care should be taken.
People who get irritable when they are hungry are prone to nocturnal hypoglycemia.
In that case, consuming something that improves the quality of sleep, such as Yakult, can help you get a good night’s sleep. If you experience nocturnal hypoglycemia, adrenaline is released, which can lead to shallow sleep, so be careful.
Summary
Taking this sleep course made me realize what I am lacking in terms of sleep. I was able to learn that I am not getting as much sleep as average and that I have been putting strain on my body without realizing it. I drink a lot of coffee, tea, and alcoholic beverages, so I will be careful not to consume caffeine six hours before going to bed and not to drink too much alcohol. I also wanted to try the essential oils that the instructor introduced to me to improve the quality of my sleep. During the course, I actually smelled the essential oils and found them to have a great scent. The method of intake is very simple, just place tissues with the essential oils on them next to your pillow, so I recommend you give it a try.

Why LUCKYBOX?
The reason we started the Lucky Box project is that the Tokai region (Aichi, Gifu, Shizuoka, and Mie prefectures) is not well known overseas, resulting in a low number of foreign tourist visitors. In order to solve the deep problem of the region’s charm and culture not being fully recognized, we are actively promoting the Tokai region through Lucky Box. Our goal is to let people in the United States and Europe know about this beautiful region and increase local business opportunities. We hope that this initiative will raise interest in the Tokai region and serve as a catalyst for attracting more tourists.

Our website also has a wealth of information focusing on the charms of the Tokai region. The Tokai region is a region rich in nature and deep in history. By featuring snacks from this region, we are introducing the region’s specialties and culture widely. We also feature local anime, introducing how the culture and climate of the Tokai region are reflected in anime. Through this section, we are able to convey the unknown charms of the Tokai region to the world.
By using Luckybox.jp, customers will not only be able to find new snacks, but also gain a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and regional characteristics. We aim for our monthly deliveries to provide an opportunity for learning and discovery that goes beyond just food.
Use of SNS
Luckybox.jp actively uses Instagram. We chose this because our target demographic, young people in their 20s and 30s who are interested in Japanese culture, frequently use Instagram. Instagram’s algorithm automatically recommends our content to such users, allowing us to reach our target demographic efficiently.
We post video reviews on Instagram every week, and provide content in English for our American account and in French for our French account. This allows us to take an approach that is tailored to the language and culture of each country, allowing us to reach more followers.
Our main content is snack reviews, and the style is light-hearted and humorous. This fun atmosphere gives viewers a positive impression and increases engagement. We hope that our videos will provide viewers with fun, which will spark their interest in our products and ultimately lead to purchases.
In this way, Luckybox.jp is spreading the appeal of its brand to young people around the world through Instagram, making Japanese snack culture more familiar to them.
