Employee Profiles

Hello! Thank you for visiting my blog. I’m ‘Boo ✊’, and I joined the company in April 2026 as a new graduate! In this post, I’d like to share what inspired me to join the company and my impressions after starting my job.

The reason I joined the company

I spent two years at a vocational college in Nagoya, where I mainly studied for certifications and learned the fundamentals of IT, including programming languages.

Since I myself am a foreign national, I focused my job search—right after advancing to my second year—on companies that actively welcome foreign employees. However, there were only a few companies with such an environment, and at first, I felt that job hunting was quite challenging.

Around that time, my teacher introduced me to Dandelions. Later, the company visited our school to give a presentation, and that’s when I learned in detail that people of various nationalities work there and that everyone enjoys working together in a friendly environment. Feeling drawn to the company’s appeal, I proceeded with the selection process and was fortunate to receive an offer.

During the winter after receiving my job offer, I learned that the company was hosting an internship, so I decided to participate in order to experience the actual workplace atmosphere. I still remember how moved I was by what I saw there. Even though many employees were foreign nationals, everyone communicated actively regardless of nationality, and the environment was so flat and friendly that you could hardly feel any hierarchy. They genuinely enjoyed talking and working together. Just as I had heard during the company briefing, the atmosphere was bright, positive, and fun. Experiencing it firsthand made me truly excited about becoming a member of Dandelions and working in such a wonderful place.

Impressions After Joining the Company

Since I’m still in the training period, I haven’t started full‑fledged work yet, but I’m receiving careful instruction on business etiquette as a working professional and on how to communicate smoothly with colleagues from different nationalities.

Business etiquette, in particular, feels challenging because there is so much to learn. From grooming rules to exchanging business cards, even a small mistake can come across as impolite, so I’m realizing how important it is to properly learn and internalize the correct practices.

I’m also studying to obtain certifications, and I’m continuing to work hard toward passing them. Since I’ve just joined the company, there are still many things I don’t fully understand, but I’m asking lots of questions and learning as much as I can from my seniors. My goal is to become a ‘development engineer’ who can contribute to Dandelions as soon as possible, even if it’s just one day earlier, so I’ll keep doing my best!

Self‑Introduction

Lastly, let me share a bit about my hobbies. My hobby is going to the gym. Not only do I train at a regular gym, but I actually practice martial arts as well! I love both watching matches and moving my body to fight myself.

I usually go to the gym after work or on weekend mornings. Right now, I’m training every day with a big goal in mind — winning a tournament! Staying active not only boosts my motivation for work but also serves as the best stress relief. I truly recommend it for refreshing your mind and body, so I hope you’ll give it a try too!

Thank you so much for reading all the way to the end.
That’s all for this post.
Please look forward to the next employee introduction as well!!

Internal Study Session Report: How to Write a Readable Internal Blog and the Basics of WordPress

This time, we held an internal study session titled “How to Write an Internal Blog and the Basics of WordPress.”

Here’s a look at how it went.

Internal blogs are valuable assets for sharing technical information, research findings, and insights gained through daily work. At the same time, it’s not uncommon to hear people say, “I don’t know what to write,” or “I’m not good at writing.”

In this study session, we focused not on writing skills themselves but on “tips for creating articles that effectively communicate to readers.” The session covered practical topics for real-world use, including how to write blog posts, basic WordPress operations, handling images, and key points to keep in mind when using AI.

Topics Covered in the Study Session

In this study session, we learned about the following topics.

  • How to structure articles with the reader in mind
  • How to create effective titles and headings (H-tags)
  • How to write easy-to-read text using bullet points and paragraph breaks
  • Basic operations in WordPress (Gutenberg)
  • Useful editing features such as List View and grouping
  • Image optimization and the use of WebP format
  • Key points for creating screenshots
  • Secure handling of images and files with information security in mind
  • Important considerations and effective methods when using AI

We didn’t just focus on learning how to operate WordPress; we also emphasized the importance of writing articles with the perspective that they will serve as resources for someone in the future.

Scenes from the Study Session

Internal blogs are assets that carry knowledge into the future.

An internal blog doesn’t end at the moment it’s written.

By sharing the knowledge, insights, and trial‑and‑error experiences gained through daily work and learning, individual experiences become assets for the entire organization. Not only technical information but also lessons learned on the job, study session content, and work-related improvements can all serve as valuable knowledge for other team members.

Internal blogs also serve as a record of activities and initiatives. By documenting “what was learned,” “why a particular approach was chosen,” and “what results were achieved,” they become valuable resources for your future self and for members who join later and need to look back.

In addition, articles such as employee introductions and event reports help convey the company’s atmosphere and the people who work there. They not only deepen mutual understanding among team members but also contribute to recruitment efforts and corporate branding.

An internal blog is a “company resource that someone in the future will read.” With this study session as a starting point, I hope each person will keep in mind how to create articles that are a little easier to read and a little clearer to understand, leading to even more valuable information sharing.

We plan to continue holding study sessions on WordPress in the future.
Please look forward to the next article as well!

Engineer’s Blog: New Features in WordPress 7.0 and How to Use Them

I’m oz, and I’ll be writing this edition of the Engineer’s Blog.
Since WordPress has recently been updated, I’d like to introduce some new features that should be useful for actual website management, along with how to make the most of them.

1. Responsive Display Control Features

In WordPress 7.0, you can now configure which devices each block is displayed on.

  • Display on PC only
  • Display on tablet only
  • Display on smartphone only

You can configure settings like the ones described above. Previously, you had to write CSS or install a dedicated plugin, but this is now available as a standard feature.

For example, you can hide images on smartphones to improve page load speed, or switch large tables designed for desktop computers to a different layout on smartphones.

2. Adding an Icon Block

WordPress 7.0 also includes a feature that makes it easy to place icons.

Until now, you couldn’t place icons without installing the Font Awesome plugin.

For example,

  • Display a phone icon next to the phone number
  • Display an email icon next to the email address
  • Display a warning icon next to the notes

You can create visually intuitive websites, such as these.

Email

Note

Summary

In this post, we’ve highlighted some of the new features added in WordPress 7.0 that are likely to be useful for actual website management.

The “responsive display control” and “new icon blocks” we’ve introduced here are relatively easy to use even without specialized knowledge, and they help improve the readability and usability of your website.

WordPress is updated regularly, with new features being added all the time. Even if you use it without giving it much thought on a daily basis, taking this opportunity to try out the new features might help you manage your site more efficiently.

There are still many features I haven’t fully mastered myself, so I plan to continue trying out new features and learning how to make the most of them.

That’s all for this post.
Thank you for reading this far.
Stay tuned for the next Engineer Blog post!

Employee Introduction

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Nice to meet you — my name is NoOne, and I joined the company in April 2026!
In this post, I’d like to share what led me to join Dandelions and my impressions after starting here.

Reason for joining

In Nagoya, I studied mainly Internet security at a technical college specializing in IT. As I continued taking classes, I also had opportunities to learn not only about Internet security and infrastructure, but also system development and web design. The more I explored different fields, the more I found each of them interesting, and before I knew it, I had reached job‑hunting season without being able to decide on one specific path I absolutely wanted to pursue.Since I didn’t have a clear idea of what I wanted to do, I decided to focus not only on finding a job that matched my skills, but also on finding a workplace with a good atmosphere where I could work comfortably. During that uncertain time, I encountered Dandelions at a company information session held at my school and later joined their internship program.During the internship, I found that despite being a global environment with many foreign employees, communication was incredibly smooth, and the company culture encouraged everyone—regardless of position—to freely share their opinions. I felt, ‘I want to work in such a wonderful place,’ and that’s what led me to decide to join the company.

Impressions after joining

I am currently in training, studying for IT‑related certifications and working to improve my technical skills. Even though I attended an IT vocational school, it doesn’t mean the training content is easy for me—there are many things I still don’t understand, and I often find myself getting stuck. However, thanks to the support of senior employees who teach us as instructors, as well as the help we give each other within my cohort, I feel that I’m able to learn and grow in a very supportive environment.
In addition to technical skills, we also receive thorough instruction in business etiquette. Since I was a student until just recently, I’m still not fully confident in basic business manners such as exchanging business cards, proper grooming, and handling phone calls. But my seniors and supervisors always teach me kindly, no matter how many questions I ask. Because they are so willing to help, I feel safe challenging myself every day and can sense my own growth.
As a working professional—and as a member of Dandelions—I want to continue doing my best so that I can represent the company with confidence when interacting with people outside the organization.

Introduction

As a hobby, I enjoy playing PC games. If you’re a PC gamer, you’ve probably felt the urge at least once to ‘perfect your desk setup.’ I’m definitely one of those people — I’ve been gradually improving not only my PC itself but also my peripherals and audio environment.
The PC I’m currently using was something I bought with a ‘looks over performance’ mindset, so lately I’ve been bothered by its slow startup and overall sluggishness. Then, almost as if perfectly timed, a collaboration PC featuring my favorite creator was released! I thought, ‘This is it — a PC that’s perfect both in appearance and performance!’ and decided to buy it.
On top of that, a collaboration keyboard with the same creator is scheduled to arrive around August this year. I’m turning this excitement into motivation and doing my best at work every day.

Thank you for reading all the way to the end.
That’s all for this time.
Please look forward to the next employee introduction!

February 2026 Internship Experience②

Eight people participated in our internship program in February. In Testimonial ②, we’d like to introduce the Japanese students!

Japanese students(Male)

I am a vocational school student scheduled to graduate in 2027. I decided to participate after attending an information session at my school, where I was drawn to your company’s “global yet relaxed corporate culture,” and I am pleased to be taking part in this winter internship.

On the first day, we used generative AI to create images based on the theme “Ukiyo-e × Modern.” We experimented with different prompts to get as close as possible to our ideal image. We were able to produce a piece we were satisfied with, and the positive feedback we received from our colleagues gave us a great boost of confidence.

On the morning of the second day, we practiced exchanging business cards and received practical advice from employees in sales roles. In the afternoon, we experienced the system testing process. We learned that even simple tasks carry the heavy responsibility of “upholding the company’s trust.” Drawing on what we learned in class, we were able to complete the task without any mistakes by paying close attention to every detail.

On the third day, we created a website introducing the history of Toyokuni Shrine. We organized information gathered through AI and online research in chronological order and built the site using WordPress. The intuitive interface allowed us to experiment with how to present the content, making it a valuable experience that gave us a real sense of the joy of sharing information.

Now that my internship has come to an end, I can say it was an intensive five days that covered everything from the latest technologies to the fundamentals of business. I intend to use this experience as a foundation as I move forward with my student life and career development.

Japanese students(Male)

I participated in an internship in February 2026.
I’d like to share what I actually did during this internship and my thoughts on the experience.

On the first day, we worked on AI-powered image generation and self-analysis using mind maps. For the image generation, we created images in groups based on the theme of “harmony,” sharing our ideas along the way. Despite the limited time, our discussions led to results we were very satisfied with.
We also experienced mind mapping, a technique that allows us to explore our experiences and thoughts through association. It was a valuable opportunity to reflect on who we are now and who we hope to become in the future.

On the second day, we exchanged business cards and conducted test runs.
During the business card exchange, we were taught the basic etiquette we need to follow.
It was a good opportunity to realize that the rules are stricter than I had imagined and that there is a lot to keep in mind.
For the tests, we verified that the system we built was functioning as intended. We had to check for issues across different devices and versions, and I felt that this was both an important and challenging task.

On the third day, we worked on creating web pages and preparing the necessary materials.
We split into two groups and used a platform called WordPress to build the sites.
I think that by dividing up the tasks, we were able to make steady progress without any major setbacks.

During this internship, I learned many things that I couldn’t have learned in school. I hope to draw on these lessons in the future, both in school and in my career.

February 2026 Internship Experience①

Eight people participated in our internship program in February. In Testimonial ①, we’d like to introduce our international students!

Myanmar international students(Women)

I am an international student studying web development in Japan. My school teacher introduced me to Dandelions Inc., and I participated in their 2026 internship program. My goals for the internship were to experience the actual work of professionals and to communicate effectively with both Japanese and international colleagues. The internship lasted five days, from February 16 to February 20.
On the morning of the first day, we all gave brief self-introductions. Then, we used AI to generate images. We also had group discussions, which were a lot of fun. In the afternoon, we learned how to use mind maps to structure our self-promotion. It was a great experience.

On the second day, a company employee taught us the proper etiquette and procedures for exchanging business cards. We actually exchanged business cards, which was a great opportunity to learn about Japanese business culture. We listened to an explanation of system testing and conducted some actual tests. It was interesting to assign roles for the presentation and divide up the tasks among us.

On the morning of the third day, we went to Toyokuni Shrine to take photos for the website. We split into groups and had fun summarizing what each of us had researched. In the afternoon, we received a tutorial on how to use WordPress, and then we all worked together to upload the information and photos we had compiled to the site.

I learned so much and got to know everyone well—I’m really glad I took part in this internship.

Myanmar international students(Male)

I joined this Dandelions internship through a referral from one of my teachers. I felt it was a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in web development in a real-world setting, so I was eager to take on the challenge.

On the first day, following a company presentation and self-introductions, we held a group discussion on creating prompts for generating photos using AI. We considered what kind of language to use to generate photos that closely match the desired image, and learned the importance of providing specific, easy-to-understand instructions rather than abstract expressions. We also realized that even with the same theme, different perspectives and ideas can lead to completely different results, and truly appreciated the importance of exchanging opinions within the team.

On the second day, we conducted a browser testing session, using Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS to verify differences in display and behavior across various browsers. Since I usually only test in a single environment, I was surprised to see how layout and behavior differed depending on the device and browser. Through the process of verifying minor discrepancies and bugs one by one, I gained a deep understanding of the importance of user-centric testing and quality control.

On the third day, we took photos at Toyokuni Shrine and used that footage to create a website using WordPress. By conducting market research, defining our target audience, and creating a site structure before beginning production, we learned the importance of planning skills as well as design. Although the program was short, we experienced the entire process from planning to production and presentation, which allowed us to clearly identify our challenges and areas for growth. I hope to apply what I learned in this program to my future creative projects and career goals.

Engineer’s Blog: Types and Uses of Generative AI

Hello, everyone! I’m “Pudding🍮” from the Business Development Department.
In this post, I’ll introduce the different types of generative AI—which is constantly evolving—and share some tips on how to use it effectively.

We operate an e-commerce site for international customers called “Dandelions Japan.”
We actively utilize AI for our social media management and video production.
For example, we use AI to generate ideas for posts and draft content, allowing us to efficiently create engaging material. We also leverage AI for image and video assets, which helps us produce high-quality visuals while reducing the time previously required for these tasks.

Types of Generative AI

While we often use the term “AI” as a general umbrella term, there are actually many different types.
Tools specialized for specific purposes—such as text-generation AI, image-generation AI, video-generation AI, and music-generation AI—are emerging one after another. Since each has its own areas of expertise, it’s important to choose the right one for your specific needs.

For example, by choosing the right tools—such as text-generating AI for writing and image-generating AI for visual design—you can achieve results more efficiently.

Specifically, ChatGPT is a leading example of text-generating AI, capable of handling a wide range of tasks such as brainstorming, writing, and summarizing.

Another example of image-generating AI is Midjourney, which can generate high-quality illustrations and photo-realistic images simply by entering text prompts.
In the field of video production, video-generating AI is being used to create videos from images and text, significantly contributing to more efficient production workflows.

In addition, there is Suno, a music-generating AI that allows you to create original songs simply by describing the desired mood in text.

Since each AI has its own areas of expertise, you can create higher-quality content by selecting the right one for your specific needs.

How to Write Effective Prompts

When using generative AI, one of the most important factors is how you write your prompts. Since generative AI generates results based on the input provided, ambiguous instructions will not yield the desired results. For example, when generating images, a simple prompt like “a woman in a kimono, cute” may lack specificity, resulting in an image that doesn’t match your vision.

On the other hand, by describing the subject, location, situation, and atmosphere in concrete terms—such as “A Japanese woman in her 20s, wearing a red and white kimono, stands smiling on Nakamise Street in Asakusa. The natural daylight creates a realistic look, just like in a photograph”—
you can achieve results that are closer to your ideal.

So, how should we approach prompts like this?
Actually, the example from earlier can be broken down into the following elements.

・Subject (Who/What)
Specify exactly what you want to draw (e.g., a Japanese woman in her 20s)

・Action/Situation (What)
Clearly describe what the subject is doing (e.g., standing with a smile)

・Location/Background (Where)
Specify the setting of the scene (e.g., Nakamise Street in Asakusa)

・Artistic Style
Specify the style of the drawing (e.g., realistic, like a photograph)

・Photography / Realism
Emphasize the level of realism (e.g., natural light, photorealistic)

・Camera / Angle
Specify the angle and composition (e.g., close-up, wide-angle, etc.)

・Specifying Unnecessary Elements
Exclude elements you do not want to be generated in advance (e.g., blurry images, low-quality images, text, watermarks, etc.)

Word order is even more important. Since the AI tends to place greater emphasis on elements mentioned earlier in the prompt, it’s crucial to list the most important elements—such as the subject—first.

Recently, as the accuracy of generative AI has improved, it’s now possible to get decent results even with relatively simple instructions. However, to achieve higher-quality results or output that more closely matches your vision, it’s important to design your prompts with these factors in mind.
By taking a little extra time to write specific instructions, you can maximize the potential of generative AI. If you keep these points in mind, you’ll be able to generate images that match your vision!

Summary

Generative AI is an incredibly useful tool that can significantly boost productivity and expand creative possibilities, depending on how it’s used. However, it’s not enough to simply use it; choosing the right tool and crafting effective prompts are also crucial.
We, too, will continue to leverage generative AI while keeping these points in mind, striving to create even better content.
We hope this information will be helpful to those who are interested in trying generative AI.

That’s all for today.
Thank you for reading.
Stay tuned for our next Engineer Blog post!
