{"id":5057,"date":"2024-06-26T09:14:36","date_gmt":"2024-06-26T00:14:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dandelions.co.jp\/blog\/?p=5057"},"modified":"2024-06-26T09:14:36","modified_gmt":"2024-06-26T00:14:36","slug":"internal-study-session-about-monaca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/dandelions.co.jp\/blog\/blog\/2024\/06\/26\/internal-study-session-about-monaca\/","title":{"rendered":"Internal Study Session: About Monaca"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I&#8217;m &#8220;xig&#8221; from Unit 0, and I&#8217;ll be writing this study session article.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme of this in-house study session is &#8220;Monaca.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">It&#8217;s a familiar topic in Unit 0, but we held the study session with the aim of allowing inexperienced people to actually try it out and deepen their understanding. I was the one teaching, but the number of people who participated was greater than we initially expected, so I was a little nervous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study session went as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2460Outline of Monaca<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2461Introduction to the environment<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2462Hands on actually trying out Monaca<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Overview of Monaca<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the 0th unit, we used Monaca&#8217;s cloud IDE (browser-based development environment),<br>so we focused on that and explained what Monaca is and what it can do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">I&#8217;ve found the following three points to be useful when actually using it,<br>and I hope that the participants were able to understand them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3007 Easy to get started with an internet connection<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3007 Easy to check operation (on a browser or smartphone)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u3007 Easy to publish to the store<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Environment introduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">After I gave them an overview, I had them create an account to start using Monaca.<br>I also showed them an actual screen and explained what items are available.<br>I personally didn&#8217;t feel any resistance to it because the UI is similar to the integrated development environment I normally use, but what did you all think?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"768\" height=\"432\" src=\"https:\/\/dandelions.co.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/image-11.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5058\" srcset=\"http:\/\/dandelions.co.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/image-11.png 768w, http:\/\/dandelions.co.jp\/blog\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/image-11-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2>Let\u2019sTry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">After the explanation, we did some coding exercises using Monaca&#8217;s sample programs. Monaca has pre-made templates, so this time we used the Todo app template, changed the background color, and added functions to add and delete database functions to actually create an app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Summary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In this study session, we actually used Monaca to experience developing a simple app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">&#8211; I want to write a simple sample program, but setting up the environment is a hassle\u2026<br>&#8211; I want to quickly develop an app for iOS or Android\u2026<br>&#8211; I hope that when you feel like this, you will remember the exercises from today and put them to good use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, please look forward to the article from the next study session!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m &#8220;xig&#8221; from Unit 0, and I&#8217;ll be writing this study session article.
